"Modern Technology Engineering Training"

� March 27 at MMF hosted an international conference dedicated to prof. S. Blokhin. The main organizer was OKMM Department, led by Cyril Ziborov Albertovichem, and with the active assistance of other departments

The International Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern Technology Engineering Training" is dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of Professor Sergei Blokhin. He has spent with Mining University for about 33 years. Sergei Blokhin has worked as a lecturer , head of the Construction , Theoretical and Applied Mechanics department and as a dean of Mechanical Engineering Faculty (MEF).�

During the time of his leading the faculty there were founded new departments and majors such as Automobiles and Automobile Industry, Organization and Management of Transport. Under Sergey�s supervision a significant number of PhD theses were prepared. He was the initiator of foundation of the scientific research laboratory named Dynamics and Durability of Supporting Constructions of Artificial Structures of Mining Enterprises of the South.�

Throughout his life, Professor Sergei Blokhin made an outstanding contribution not only to science, but also to education of engineers. During the years of his work at the MEF thousands of students became high-skilled professionals that considered him to be the second father because of his sensitive and sympathetic character.

The aim of this conference is not onlyto emphasize the great role of Sergei Blokhin in the training of engineers, but to discuss the prospects of using and application of modern education and science technologies, which were proposed and supported by the scientist.
